Couldn’t be happier

I had THE best experience with Morse. The three men who came to my home were rockstars, Chris, Bob and Deshon. They were polite and professional and cared about my property. I got the best when these three arrived at my home. They worked tirelessly in rain and hail and protected

my property and home throughout the process. Definitely a five star experience.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Florida

Move to FL.

I enjoyed working with the loaders, Mike, Pat and Chris.  The delivery men in Florida were nice and professional as well.  I had a very narrow street and they were able to get that large truck very close to my new residence in Florida.   The delivery came on time and nothing was damaged I was so pleased.
The packers arrived the day before the loading.  I had so many boxes I did not know that my closets were that full.  Morse Van Lines even packed my delicate Lladro figurines and they arrived intact.
Diane in the office was very accommodating. She was able to help me with the dates even though I had to change the original pick up day on short notice because of escrow.
I would recommend Morse Van Lines from Painesville OH.  My friend referred me and it was a nice experience.

Property Damages and poor customer service

I was extremely disappointed in the service and lack of response provided to us recently by Morse Van Lines. After having used them several times before in out of State moves, I thought I would patronize them again in a relocation from Alabama to Ohio on June 28 to June 30, 2021. This time to our dismay, the movers damaged and chipped several items including a dining table, bed-frame, a large antique buffet, and a desk. They also completed destroyed a file cabinet and lamp shade. In addition, we were utterly surprised that they smashed an electrical cord to a deep freezer, by draping the cord inside the chest and closing the door on it. Having noticed a few of these damaged items before the movers left our home on June 30th, I showed the items to one of the movers, named Mike, who instructed me to send the pictures to a cell phone number, which I did. Although I expected to receive a customer service call immediately, this being the 4th of July Holiday weekend, I gave them the benefit of the doubt thinking I would receive a call early Monday or Tuesday morning. I did not. Therefore, I called them on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 and was informed by the person answering the phone (also named Mike) that both Patty and Pam Morse (who we’d been consulting with) were in a meeting and someone would return my call. To date, I have not heard from anyone from this company. I cannot begin to express my disappointment in their customer service or lack thereof. After having used them for years, and spending an inordinate amount of money on relocations, I do not think it is too much to ask for a customer service call. Furthermore, I would expect that they would want to ensure that they rectify damages done to their customers property. I will not be using Morse Van Lines again, nor would I recommend their service anymore.

Long-distance move from Ohio to Florida

Damaged Mattress.

Well I used Morse Van Lines for my move from Painesville Ohio to Lakeland Florida and my advice to you is DO NOT use this company. I had insurance to cover any damages that may happen and I might as well have saved my money. I had a mattress I paid over $2000.00 for and it was damaged. A month later the company delivered me a substandard mattress that I immediately called about ( the movers were still on the premise while I made the call) and I was told I should keep that mattress and send my old mattress back to see if it could be fixed. It was my understanding after talking to the employee on the phone that if mine could not be fixed they would send me another. Well mine could not be fixed and I was informed they thought they had done all that they were required to do and that they were done with the problem. Now let me add the mattress that was damaged was a 15 inch thick PLUS luxury pillow top and the one they replaced it with was 9 inch thick with barely what you could call a pillow top. I was told "Well its a good mattress. It is a $1200.00 mattress." Uh Ok maybe but it is not COMPARABLE to the one I lost. Mak said she would resubmit the claim after I complained. This was back in January and it is now April. I questioned her via Email about it and she responded back that the claim had been closed back when the mattress was delivered and that the owner was now out of town. Convenient. Not only did she NOT resubmit my claim but now the owner is out of town. Seems to be a clear indication they are not seriously thinking about resolving this issue. Life is full of live and learn lessons. You took the time to look for reviews.. if you have anything you value take it from me and FIND SOMEONE ELSE.

Long-distance move from Florida to New York

Such nice people.

Morse Van Lines was recommended to us for our first move from Florida and we chose them.  We could not have been happier with that choice and thus we used them again for the final move from Florida 3 1/2 years later.  For the first move they were extremely accommodating and kept our belongings until we could move in 3 weeks after the pick-up.  Terry and John were just amazing.
Last Friday the last of our belongings were picked up exactly when scheduled by Mike Harrison and his partner, Jim.  While I was not at the pick-up point, my husband said that both gentlemen were wonderful.  When I got word that our belongings were ready for delivery on Tuesday - a day early, I was ecstatic.  Mike Harrison performed a miracle at our little NYC apartment - getting very large objects through very small doorways and not having me stress over it at all.  He worked quickly and methodically - not wasting any of his or our time.  He is a true professional, very creative, and extremely strong.  Thank you Mike.
If I had to move again - which I hope won't happen - I would hire Morse Van Lines in a nano-second.  They are simply the best!

Morse Van Lines.

Morse Van Lines should be put into the Guinness Book of Records or Ripley's Believe It Or Not - They made 98% of the inside contents of my home disappear. Morse Van Lines have the first half of the trick down perfectly, but nobody showed them the second half of the trick. Bringing It Back. Nobody, knows who performed the trick in the first place. You would expect the person that performed the trick to take the credit and the fame. so SHE can be in the books. Don't hold your breath. BEWARE..
I hope this helps.

Long-distance move from Ohio to North Carolina

Rude, incompetent staff, cheap cheap cheap.

Lady in their office named Patti was so rude. Everything changed after money transfered hands. All cash only dealings. Do not use this place unless you would like to have a stressed out unplanned unexpected move. Promised a time but showing up at another, and delivery time promised one and deliverey another. Funny that the lady has no concept of customer service. This is a time where customers can actually voice their experience over the internet for the world to see. Until the initial 1/2 amount money changed hands, you have no idea how hand and foot they were attentive.

Choose any other moving company than Morse Moving and Storage!!

TLDR at the end. I went with the cheapest of three quotes and I regret it. John Green did a nice job of remotely estimating my move (due to COVID, we had a video chat) which was on the smaller side of a typical amount of goods to be moved from Ohio to Virginia. The total came out to just over $3,500 and I thought that was a very reasonable price and about 15% cheaper than the next highest bid.

Due to the smaller load, it had to be packed onto one truck, transported on that truck to a warehouse in Michigan, then stored until it could be loaded onto a different truck that was making multiple stops heading east. I understand that is how they make small moves economical and I accepted that the delivery window would be 3 weeks long. After the movers packed my goods the scheduler, Tracey Pritchett contacted me and I agreed to a delivery on 5/16/2020 between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. I called on Friday 5/15/2020 at 2:30 PM to confirm the delivery and was told that "I am your next call, let me doublecheck and call you back". I called back at 5:25 PM to again confirm with Tracey and she confirmed that the delivery would arrive the following day. The next morning at 9:30 AM my phone rings. It's Tracey. She has called to inform me that not only will my goods not be delivered today, but they haven't even been loaded on the truck in Michigan. She doesn't know why the driver couldn't make the delivery because he never returned any of her messages, she "assumed everything was good to go".

I later get a call on Monday 5/18/2020 and Tracey informs me that my goods will be delivered on Friday 5/22/2020. I inform her that I am already scheduled out of town for work Friday through Saturday and I cannot be there to accept delivery and there is no one else in the household; I asked for delivery on Thursday. Impossible, she states. Her supervisory Bethany Gutowski calls me back later to verify that I cannot be there to accept delivery on Friday. I confirm emphatically, I will be working out of town. Today, 5/20/2020 I receive an email with an invoice for an additional $1,041 for storage from Friday through next Tuesday and they will be able to deliver my goods on Wednesday. They won't even tell me what time the delivery will be until the day before. I do have a new job that doesn't allow me to just phone it in. I guess that doesn't matter to them.

TLDR: I paid for a service to pack and move household good for me. They did a great job packing them. The transportation of them from Point A to Point B resulted in them standing me up on a CONFIRMED delivery with less than 1 hour notice, then informing me that if I couldn't be at my new residence to accept delivery on the date that they TOLD me I HAD to be there, it results in an additional charge of $1,041 to 'store my goods' for an additional 6 days. I DO NOT RECOMMEND MORSE MOVING AND STORAGE. In fact, I highly recommend that you take the next highest bid, which for me was "Two Men and a Truck" for my particular move. I have been on hold with them for enough time to have heard over and over on their on-hold voice messaging that 'mistakes are costly', doing moves the first time is important to them', and 'customer satisfaction is their number one priority'. Not true. I wish I would have checked reviews on them before making a decision!

*If you can't accept delivery on the day they direct, you are SOL and will be charged whatever they feel like.

Damage and loss of my belongings

These people stored my belongings for one year, 5/2017-5/2018. It took this company 5 months to deliver my belongings. 50% of my belongings were mysteriously missing after the company claimed, falsely, that an inventory had been taken. The other 50% was terribly damaged with severe breakage, water damage, rodent urine, feces, and nesting material even within the boxes. Several boxes were obviously opened without my permission, and items transferred from one box to another, and items taken from them. I also had someone else's belongings delivered to me. I had to drive them to the company in Painesville, since they refused to pick them up. A very large TV, that was not mine, was also delivered to me. It is still in my garage since they refuse to pick it up. After a year to receive a claim form I had to drive to the company to get it in person. When I returned to the completed form, I brought in a few items to show them a sample of the damage. I have reported the company to BBB and Ohio Attorney General, but still have not heard from the company. I will need to report this theft to the police. I don't know what else to do.
